Hogan

IAda Fan reports that "Izzy--whom
we now call Hogan (he never seemed to answer to Izzy
anyway and the girls thought it was a funny name for a boy)--now weighs 64
lbs., up from the 57-58 of a few weeks ago. The vet says he's reached a
pretty ideal weight for his frame (he's smaller than our first Weimaraner,
who was a bit overweight at 70-something) and should stay 64-68 lbs. He
remains a sweetheart and seems to have bonded w/ all of us, spending his
nights in different rooms (depending on who's staying up latest and who has
the most comfortable arrangement). He HAS destroyed a couple of black high
heels (one from each daughter), but in my view they have too many shoes
anyway and from their pt. of view they can now ask for replacement pairs.
He tends to steal articles of clothing from us in turn in order to exchange
them for treats, and he relishes the ensuing chase. He has actually
inspired all of us to clean our rooms, and the girls are learning not to
leave clothing and shoes lying on the floor. He doesn't seem to bark and
howl when we're away--an amazing thing for us given our early history--and
he loves ALL people and dogs".
