Meeting Called to order 11:29am at the home of Dottie and John Morrill in Columbia, CT

BOD reviewed previous meeting minutes. Motion made and carried to accept minutes as read.

President’s Report: David Martin

Various NWC correspondence received by David was reviewed and discussed.

Treasurer’s Report; John Morrill

Signature cards etc are in possession of David Martin who will sign and forward to John for new banking account information. Treasurer report will be deferred until the next meeting. Treasurer notes the NWC is financially stable and solvent. Thanks to outgoing Treasurer Pat Sandillo for years of service in that position.

Secretary’s Report: Audrey Meinke

No correspondence to report. Audrey is the Club’s Sunshine Chairperson. If you know of any Weim enthusiast who is in need of a get well card or a note of cheer please let Audrey know. Audrey has had 2 eye surgery as well and is healing and enjoying her cookie bouquet from NWC. Again welcome to new members Alan & Tanya Patten

Membership: Dottie Morrill

The membership list is current with updated email addresses etc. Dottie suggests a membership application be sent to new owners who rescue Weims. The BOD agreed with that suggestion. The Rescue Committee will forward Dottie the adopting family names after a waiting period to insure they will keep the re-homed dog. Thanks to Dottie for her report.

Rescue; David Martin

The contact person for is David Martin and the Officers and BOD for the NWC. NWC wishes to thank new members Alan & Tanya Patten, Niantic, CT who have jumped into our rescue program with both feet and have offered and helped with several Weimaraner rescue situations. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Editor Dave Martin is working on the final draft of the newest edition. The web site was reviewed and edited by the BOD and Karen, Please forward Karen any fun info, pictures etc to our website for inclusion. We are going to create a ‘Rainbow Bridge” page to honor our beloved Grey Ones who have left us. Karen can be reached via the web site at www.nutmeg-rescue.com

Specialty and Supported Events:

Plans were discussed for our next Combined Specialty to be held on June 1. 2007 in Woodstock, CT. NWC will also have a supported entry at the Ox-Ridge KC in Goshen, CT this September as well as a supported entry in November 06 at the WCKC show March 07 at the New England Sporting Group Shows!

Hunting Tests

The Fall Hunting tests are scheduled for November 7&8 at the Nodbrook Management area in Simsbury,CT. We hope you will attend and enjoy a fall day and as usual a fantabulous lunch….please volunteer your help as a bird planter or linesman…we will train you! It’s fun!

Old Business; Nodbrook signs were discussed. Lorna Godsill has them in her possession.

New Business. Cheryl will look into a postcard format for use during some club correspondence in an effort to conserve postage cost and report back to the Board. Cheryl stated with her schedule she could only be responsible for running the combined Specialty’s. Therefore, sweeps applications etc for the supported entries will have to be other club member’s responsibility. Ellen Grevatt said she would check into the sweeps application for WCKC in November 06 as Audrey who usually has this responsibility has been recovering from surgery.

David will contact Bob Chalifoux to be our Ways and Means Chair to coordinate some T-shirts etc for sale at the 07 and 08 Specialty.
